I was there in 1966 and worked on the rifle ranges.
1st worked on the zero in range with Wexler, Broom, Cpl Bjork. SSG WIlson and SSG Church. Lived in the quansot huts by the back gate.
Later I worked on the Record Firing Range. I was the "AI" (assistant instructor) SP/4 on point number 7 that was 110 concrete steps up to get there and jump in your fox hole while you had your heart racing so you couldn't shoot straight. We had M-14's then. Very Happy
I think it was Williams that had firing point 8 which was 179 steps up. My best buddy John A Davis was on firing point 6. we used to "double team" when we'd be carrying the big a$$ed boulders up the hill in front of the target raising machines on the 350 yard line. Our SSG (or might have been SFC... I can't remember) on that range we called him "batman". His name was Crawford I think.
I had some really awesome times down in the ville (TDC) and used to hang out at the starlight, rendevous and crown. I liked mamasan at the crown club the best. She must've been 30 and had two gold crowns on her front teeth. I was 19 at the time. Very Happy She was very attentive and kind. I should have brought her home instead of marrying the witch that I did back in the U.S. Oh well, I have had a wonderful wife the 2nd time as it is going on 32 years now. Met her at a church (I've changed my ways!!! Shocked )
Sure would be nice to find Davis, Wexler, Broom, etc.
Bob Schneider

Hi Bob,

I don't remember you, but I recall meeting Williams because I was an MP, and he issued my 45 caliber every time I went on duty. I have not been lucky meeting other people that were at Casey during my tour except you in the Forum. Daelon Kunkle is the only living person that I have met who was stationed at Uijonbu during that time 1965-1967. I have nothing but great memories!
