This Forum is for meeting up with others that served in Korea. If you were in Korea during the War, or stationed in Korea any time after, you can post up where you were, and hopefully over time, will start meeting up with others that you served with.

I was posted to the 1st Cav Div HQ&HQ in 1961 as a correspondent for "The Cavalier" and "Stars and Stripes" (Pacific Edition). We were young - full of ourselves - and got into a lot of trouble. Anyone near the 7th Cav ("Garry Owen. sir!") can you remember the camp name or the vil it was near?

I was in 17th Trans Bn 60-61 at Casey. I visited a couple of buddies that were in 7th Cav often, and we hit the vill there each time. I remember "Yongju-gol" being the one we went to the most.

Had a BLAST back then when Korea was like the Wild West.
