I was chief computer at "C" battery 6th/12th in '66 and '67.
This chit is from The Rose Bar. The proprieter was Miss Kim, a very nice lady who put up with a lot of craziness at times.
I came across this while going thru old boxes of memorabilia...anyone ever use one?
I will try to post more pics soon. Some of you may be interested in them.
Lot of wonderful memories from that time.

I LIVED in the Rose Bar. Smile I was in D Company 4th Maint Bn, and had a Detachment at St Barbara. We had a quonset hut and shop in the 6/12th area.

You may recognize the background in this picture, taken near the road of the 6/12th close to the mess hall.

I don't recognize that background in your PIC, 'course my memory bank is being rapidly depleted.
I do have more pics of some of us guys in The Rose Bar and will post some of them, too. Hope I don't get anyone in trouble, Very Happy .
I spent most of my time there , too. Can't recall the name of the bar just a little past it going uphill, up the road, but we would go in there on occasion, also.
Have you seen the PIC on Google Earth of The Rose Bar? Nice pic but it was taken back in 1970. Wonder if the bar is still there. Skoshie Annie was a fixture there back in 1966. She was kind of a wild one.

Was "skoshie Annie" a tall girl?
If so, I know of who you speak possibly.
I was with HHC 7th Inf and worked on the rifle range out the back gate of camp casey. I was there from about jun 66 to dec 18, 66. My first 6 months I was down south at a small base called camp ames and was playing security guard while I had a tanker MOS and was assigned to an Inf. company down there (Co E. 14th Rifle, Inf)
TDC had a LOT more clubs then chung dong ri, but then casey was much larger then ames.

HH7xtf,
Skoshi Annie was a little tiny thing but feisty and mouthy.

The one I knew was tall and "nicely proportioned". She was like 5 foot 10 inches.
We either called her Skoshie annie" or "amazon annie".
she was "good" Very Happy

I was at Camp Red Cloud, 1969-1972, then TDY there from Okinawa in 1973 and 1974, visiting the last time in 1994 from Hawaii. For more go to MPPublishing.org -- more information on the times to be found there, and photographs...

I was stationed at Camp Casey 1965-1967. I was an MP at 7th INF Division HQ. I don't have any pics, but many fond memories of the ville, and the extreme cold weather! I came to Korea on the USS Patrick if you did also please free to share.
