My name is Tom Skaff. I was stationed at Camp Jonathan Williams from Oct 1966 to February 1968.
My outfit was Hawk Missle, Delta Battery, 2nd Battalion, 71st Artillery, 38th Brigade
My MOS was 23R30 - Radar Mechanic
As I recall Camp Jonathan Williams was located on MSR 1 (I think it is now Hwy 39), near the village of Goyang about 9 miles north of Seoul
Headquarters for the 2nd Battalion, 71st Artillery was located in Camp Red Cloud near the village of Uijeongbu, north of Delta Battery and as I recall, not too far from MSR1 (Hwy 39)
We split our time between the "Admin Area" and the "Tac" Site. A Great road up the mountain to the "Tac" site, especially when there was snow and Ice
Usually, rode on the chow truck in the morning up to the "Tac" site.
Mount "Useless" was near the Tac Site (about the same elevation)
