I was assigned to HHB 6/12 MOS was 36K20 but ended up being CO's driver and HHB and Service Battery mail clerk. Had a great time in Korea and can't believe that 40 years have gone by already. Would like to hear from anyone who was assigned to 6/12. I talk to Ken Kosters and George Yetton who were with 6/12 in 67-68. It would be great to hear from others.

Welcome Bob. I was attached to the 6/12 for quarters and rations. I was there after you a little over a year. I was part of a Detachment that did the major rapairs of all the guns, trucks, and radios for I Corp Arty.

We had a hut near your Mess Hall, and a shop close by.

This was taken near our hut, and the entrance area to the 6/12 I think.

If you have any pictures of the 6/12 area, please share them.

I was the Headquarters Batter Commander in 68 & 69. I just found this site today, and I will have to bring out my photos, and get may slides converted to photes, and share them on-line. This is amazing to find this site as it is bringing back a lot of memories.

Welcome to the site Bud. I really enjoyed my time at CSB. We all had a real mission, and great people to work with. I was in D Company 4th Maint Bn, that did all the Direct Support repairs. We had 10-12 men Detachment attached to the 6/12. Our company was down at Cp Kyle, then Cp Stanley.

I look forward seeing your pictures.

I was in the Bat'l FDC in '66-'67 as Chf. Computer for our 175's . Left in early '67 for Ft Hood.

We started out down near Seoul when I got there, moved to St.Barbara in the middle of winter.

Had a few infiltrators get in, couple of times, and once a ROK about a 1/4-1/2 mi. down the road in one of those mini chk. pts. got MG'd, cut in half by one of them. Did you hear about that? Got tense!

BTW, name's Dan Bopp.

6/12 was in Fort Bliss Texas in 1963. We deployed to Korea in Jan 1964. I was an artillery surveyor but spent most of my time as a forward observer. We were attached to I Corp and did a lot for testing the accuracy of other artillery units.
