Was Camp St. Barbara located North of the 38?

Hi folks! I am doing some research on Camp St. Barbara for my father. I am wondering if it is true that the Camp was located North of the 38? I haven't been able to confirm this looking at the maps.

I believe that the 38th parallel is a straight line on the map that extends the width of Korea. Camp St. Barbara was north of this on or near the DMZ which was more of a jagged line. The following link talks a lot about St. Barbara and may be helpful to you.

You can see Cp St Barbara (R228) on the map. R228 was what the airfield on the camp was called.

I remember being 17 years old in 1971 and traveling to Camp St Barbara my 1st time. I had spent a couple of days in the Seoul area before getting a bus ride up to the camp. It was late afternoon and I remember driving by a sign that said I was passing the 38th parallel. It felt like we were heading into North Korea; fortunately we were only heading to St Barbara.

If the Army knew how much fun I had at Cp St Barbara, they would take my Retirement Pay back.
