This Forum is for meeting up with others that served in Korea. If you were in Korea during the War, or stationed in Korea any time after, you can post up where you were, and hopefully over time, will start meeting up with others that you served with.

I operated an ANGRC/26A stand-alone RTT (Radio Teletype) unit at Base Camp near Munsan-ni in 1954-55. I went to Korea and returned to the ZI on the General William Mitchell, (TAP114). I guess they had not invented airplanes at that time ... well what would you expect from a Navy ship named after an Army(?) General! ... I survived ridiculous details, KP and severe sea sickness going over but made an intellectual adjustment on the return trip and walked around the ship with a clipboard, writing pad, and pencil counting a pipe or two and/or light bulb at my leisure.
Okay. That is enough for the mini-intro and I look forward to hearing from guys with similar memories.
