HI was there at Camp Jackson for the winter of 1970-1971. Camp was Located somewhere near Libby Bridge. Camp Jackson was for the 3rd brigade of the 7th Inf. Division. This command would rotate with 2nd Division. Never read anything about this camp and so far I have never found out anything, other than we were on the North side of Imjin River.
Anyone who served there our knows anything about this base please let me know. Sent down from Camp Jackson in April of 1971 to Camp Casey and transfered to 2nd inf div. Spent the rest of my tour with 2nd Medical. Lost touch with the old gang and just letting people know I am alive. My name is Tom Stiefel, was also with 13th engineers at Camp Casey 1970. I was with S-3.

I'm not sure if we are speaking of the same Camp Jackson, but in 1963 my tank company moved north of the river to support 9th Cav. We named our new loction "Camp Jackson" in honor of our commander at that time. His Name was Captain Lacy M. Jackson. We were just around the corner not far from the old RC where there was also an Engineer company. Vic Pitts, 1SG U.S.A. Ret. vctpit@aol.com

Sending you a web site with photos I have taken in Korea. I do have a few photos in there of Camp Jackson.. I was there in 1970 so things may look a lot different. I have tryed for years to pin this place down and nobody seems to have been there when I was. I guess it will be a mystery.

Hi, my Dad spent a lot of time in Camp Jackson in 1969. Then, it was under the command of the 2nd Infantry Division. He served with the 3rd Brigade 2nd Infantry, 8th Army. When the 2nd Infantry left that camp, the 7th Infantry took over. The 2nd Infantry went to Camp Greaves. Camp Jackson and Camp Young were side by side according to Dad, with only a fence separating the two camps. Camp Young was then under the 7th Infantry Division. Most maps that we look at show only Camp Young, but some will show as either Camp Young or Camp Jackson. Both are shown on the same location. I think these camps are shown as the same location because of how close they were and because of how it changed commands from the 2nd Infantry to the 7th Infantry. I hope this has been some help. We are looking for anyone that may have known him while he was at either camp. His name is Bernard (B.J.) Thomas.. Dad has several health issues because of agent orange. He spent a lot of time doing commo and helping lay telecommunication lines all up and down the dmz. If anyone has any iformation as how to prove he was on the dmz, please let us know. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless.
